King Suibhne has run off mad into the forest. A woman at the well sees him in the tree and tries to seduce him. He is nearly pulled in, but instead is pulled back to madness by the voices in his head and rejects her. She offers food and water and suggests he go to the healing waters of Glen Bolcain.
